Hello my name is Dahnide Williams. I am originally from Bronx, New York. I came to Georgia in 1989 to attend Oxford College of Emory University in Oxford, Georgia. After completing my four years of undergraduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, I decided to make Georgia my home.

I met Joan Williams at a church we both attended for many years. We became good friends over the years. I knew Joan in the infancy stages of Joshua International Ministry (JIM). Since then, JIM have grown up and is increasing by leaps and bounds. In the early stages of the ministry Joan instated me as a Board Member. As a Board Member, I first served in the capacity of a treasurer and later moved to being a secretary.

During my years of serving as a Board Member at JIM, I made several educational and professional accomplishments: I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and  became a Board certified Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia, earned a Master in Public Health and a Masters of Nursing and became a certified Nurse Practitioner.  In addition to going to school, I worked in a Microbiology/Immunology lab as a lab manager and research assistant for 28 years! During this time, I had the opportunity to assist scientists from all over the world develop vaccinations for influenza (flu), HIV, SIV, Ebola, Zika. These vaccinations greatly contributed to helping people in the United States and all over the world!

Today, as a nurse practitioner, I teach nursing students at Emory University’s Nell Hodgson School of Nursing. I also conduct Health Risk Assessment to help people in various communities within Georgia, manage chronic illness, stay healthy and well physically and emotionally.

I am married to Eric Williams.
