Joshua International Schools
Joshua International Primary and Secondary Schools
On September 20, 2010 Joshua International Primary School opened its door to 350 students, providing free education to children involved in various forms of child labor. Three years later, the secondary school became operational. Today, we have a little over seven hundred students in both schools.
VISION
To forge a Christ-centered community of learners exhibiting Christian discipleship, academic excellence, and servant leadership
MISSION
To provide a rigorous but practical academic and discipleship program for children engaged in child labor free of charge.
To equip children to become relevant, intentional, and legacy-minded leaders of Sierra Leone.
SCHOOL GOAL
The Joshua International family believes that every child can learn and will learn. Our goal is to ensure that every student achieves academic success and can demonstrate required skills and competencies in reading and mathematics. We will assist our children in developing the interpersonal and human relation skills necessary for daily living and positive interactions with others. We believe that these skills provide the foundation for our students to become productive adults in a competitive global society.
The school program is built on four Pillars:
- Academics
- Discipleship
- Leadership
- The Arts
Motto: God will provide (Genesis 22:8)
Mascot: Ram
School Colors: Royal Blue and Gold
Successes: Joshua International students have performed extremely well in all external exams such as the National Primary School Exam (6th grade) and the Basic Education Certificate Exam (9th grade). We have consistently scored 100% passes in these exams. Many of our nineth graders have been accepted in Grade A high schools in Sierra Leone.
